ABOUT ME
Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Sterling Skye. I’m a professional audio engineer who specializes in multiple facets of the entertainment industry. Some of my most notable work has been with mixing and mastering music. I’m also a passionate editor and frequent consumer of podcasts and audiobooks.
I have over a decade of experience producing music and manipulating sounds. I started playing drums and guitar in high school with the intent of starting a rock band with my friends. The desire to create and record my own music led to my passion for audio engineering. I spent years developing my engineering skills as a hobby before working up the courage to pursue my passion as a career.
I graduated as Valedictorian with a Bachelor of Science degree from Full Sail University, with a major in recording arts and audio engineering. I received multiple honors including the Advanced Achievement Award for my dedication, commitment, and creativity displayed during my time studying. After graduating from university, I accepted an offer to become a sound technician on cruise ships. I spent two years traveling the world - Dubai, Greece, and London are a few of the most memorable places. I met and worked with countless incredible musicians and entertainers, all while building upon my knowledge and skills as an engineer. Shortly after concluding my cruise ship journey, I developed the full-time business that you see today.
I’m committed to be constantly learning and expanding my abilities to stay current with this ever-changing industry. I always strive to provide the highest quality of work for my clients. I love creating music and working on sound projects. Assisting creators with building their brands and sharing their stories has been one of the greatest experiences in my journey.
